QuikTAK Duster - Automated Final Tacking Pretreatment System
The DriQuik™ QuikTAK automated final tacking pretreatment system is custom designed to perform the consistent, efficient and repeatable removal of both particulate contaminants and static charges from products that will be coated, immediately prior to the coating process. The system is engineered to address both the part configuration and the substrate type, which provides a significant productivity increase and reduces labour requirements by successfully automating a manual step. The QuikTAK is used extensively in the wood and plastic finishing industries where dust particles and static charges present serious impediments to the finishing process.
Features & Benefits At A Glance
engineered ionized high velocity initial air blow-off removes loose particulates and eliminates static charge on contaminants and product surface
rotating ostrich feather duster wheel mechanically removes the balance of particulate contaminants left over after initial air blow-off by developing a static charge due to the friction of its rotation against the surface of the product being dusted, allowing the individual feather ends to hold the removed contaminants; the contaminant-laden feather ends then rotate and brush against a release bar to release the particulates
after the feathers release the particulates, a high velocity knife directs them into a vacuum air stream for collection
parts receive a final blow-off with engineered high velocity ionized air knives to eliminate part static surface charge
user friendly control package included
