Like the WX Series, the Cata-Dyne™ MKII Series Explosion-Proof Infrared Gas Catalytic Heaters are an industry standard for space or spot heating applications in hazardous environments. These include comfort heating for industrial buildings and installations, freeze protection for equipment and components, and drying or curing processes. The MKII features sleek side mount controls, which are ideal for quick and easy installation.
MKII Heaters are available in 6 different cabinet sizes (all 3" deep), with gas, electrical and accessory connections on the side of the heaters.

The Cata-Dyne™ Slim Line Series Explosion-Proof Infrared Gas Catalytic Heaters offer the same industry standard performance for space or spot heating applications in hazardous environments as the WX Series, with the added convenience of a compact stainless steel cabinet only 1.5" thick, making it ideal for applications with space installation constraints.
The versatility of this design allows it to function in both traditional installations, such as comfort heating for industrial facilities and freeze protection for equipment and components, as well as in compact enclosures for heating valves, regulators and instrumentation.

The Cata-Dyne™ G Series Industrial Infrared Gas Catalytic Heater is designed for use in non-hazardous heating applications such as infrared drying and curing ovens, facility space heating, process heating, freeze protection and comfort heating. The Cata-Dyne™ Enclosure Heating System consists of an explosion-proof heater mounted within a stainless steel enclosure, providing freeze protection for measurement or regulating equipment, such as regulators, valves, meters, orifice fittings, chokes and pipelines.
Enclosure Heating Systems are designed and built based on customer specifications and applications from a selection of components, including catalytic heaters, enclosures, enclosure gas manifolds, enclosure temperature controllers and enclosure pressure regulators. The Cata-Dyne™ Instrument Gas Preheater is the preferred solution for providing the oil & gas industry with freeze protection for instrument supply gas, pilot actuated regulators and related applications, including freeze prevention at compressor and metering sites or gas chromatographs, valves, pilots and other low flow instruments.
The heating unit comes pre-piped in a compact, highly durable stainless steel casing with a Cata-Dyne™ explosion-proof catalytic heater, a stainless steel preheating tube and a low pressure fuel gas regulator enclosed. After start-up, these dependable units will continue to supply preheated instrument gas practically maintenance-free.

LH - Line Heater

The Cata-Dyne™ Line Heater uses radiant heat transfer to increase the temperature of compressed natural gas to avoid the formation of hydrates and freezing of equipment during pressure drop at locations such as distribution nodes and sales taps. Applications across the oil and gas industry include heating fuel gas for natural gas fired turbines and heating thick oils to improve ease of distribution.
Each unit consists of Cata-Dyne™ infrared gas catalytic heaters mounted within a self-contained stainless steel structure. Heaters are strategically positioned to apply direct infrared heat to a serpentine tube heat exchanger coil. The serpentine coil is designed to promote high velocity turbulent flow, resulting in high efficiency heat transfer to the gas stream.

IN-T - Super Conductor

The Cata-Dyne™ Super Conductor features innovative heat transfer technology using radiant heat from conducting rods to create a moisture-free heat source. FLODRI - Flo-Dri Filtration & Natural Gas Scrubbing Systems

Flo-Dri Filtration & Natural Gas Scrubbing Systems are designed for gas conditioning of fuel gas from natural gas wells at the point of use to remove aerosols, contaminants, H2S, moisture, oil and solids. This process eliminates the costly down time associated with instrument and catalytic heater failure caused by the presence of these substances. The system is engineered for long life, featuring easy cartridge change out, low pressure drop, low maintenance and low cost operation.

The NGS1000 Natural Gas Scrubbing System is engineered specifically for industrial applications with gas supply lines to equipment such as the Cata-Dyne™ WX, MKII and Slim Line Series of gas catalytic heaters and other gas-fuelled appliances. It is designed to remove contaminants found in fuel gas from natural gas wells, thereby reducing or eliminating instrument and heater failure caused by the presence of such contaminants. The NGS1000 is available in two sizes and also features a desiccant-based scrubber cartridge designed for easier installation and maintenance.

AC-G - Safety Shut-Off Valve (with Thermostat, Mertik)

The multi-function valve works in conjunction with a thermocouple to monitor the catalytic reaction in the Cata-Dyne™ heater to ensure it is well established before the fuel supply remains on unattended. It is also designed to shut off the gas supply to the heater automatically if the thermocouple senses that the catalyst has dropped below the activation temperature. This unit functions as a non-electric combination of a safety shut-off valve and a thermostat control.

AC-R - Gas Pressure Regulator

The Cata-Dyne™ line of Gas Pressure Regulators are designed to provide precise control of gas or propane flow, and are part of the piping system connected to the Cata-Dyne™ heaters. There are three types of regulators available, suitable for different applications.
The Appliance Regulator controls the manifold pressure on Cata-Dyne™ heaters fuelled by natural gas. The Service or Low Pressure Regulator works with all Cata-Dyne™ heater models operating on LPG or natural gas. It serves as a natural gas low pressure line regulator when used in conjunction with the gas appliance regulator. The High Pressure Regulator has a similar function to the Low Pressure, but features much higher maximum inlet and outlet pressures, and is installed upstream of any other regulators provided.

The Manual Shut-Off Ball Valve is designed for installation upstream of all auxiliary heater controls to shut off the main fuel supply to the Cata-Dyne™ heater if required. It is supplied standard for all CSA-approved Cata-Dyne™ heaters.

AC-SN/AC-GR - Protection Grills

Protection grills affixed to Cata-Dyne™ heaters are installed to protect personnel and objects from coming into direct contact with the face of the heater. They are available in two styles: Strap-On and Snap-On. Strap-On grills are bolted to the heater box with straps, whereas Snap-On grills snap on to the bezel of the heater for quick and easy installation without the need for tools or hardware.

ASV-NT - Tamper-Proof Safety Shut-Off Valve

This safety shut-off valve works in conjunction with a thermocouple to monitor the catalytic reaction in the Cata-Dyne™ heater and ensure it is well established before the fuel supply remains on unattended. It is also designed to shut off the gas supply to the heater automatically if the thermocouple senses that the catalyst has dropped below the activation temperature. The ASV-NT model includes an additional tamper-resistant design to prevent mechanical attempts to fix the valve open and override the valve's safety features.

IN-H - Gas Pressure Test Kit

This unit uses a pressure gauge and PVC tube to accurately test and measure the gas pressure going into a Cata-Dyne™ heater. The tube end connects to the gas test port of the Safety Shut-Off Valve.

AC-TC - Thermostatic Temperature Control Valve

This unit is designed with a bulb and capillary assembly that automatically regulates the fuel flow to the Cata-Dyne™ heater. The sensing bulb is filled with temperature sensitive liquid, which responds to changes in temperature by expanding or contracting. This modulates the flow of fuel from 100% when heat is required to approximately 30% when the thermostat is satisfied. This unit is typically used to control building temperature for spot and space heating applications.

AC-WB - Wall Mounting Brackets

These steel mounting brackets are designed to mount Cata-Dyne™ heaters away from the wall, providing safe and easy access to the back of the heater. Brackets for the MKII model are half the length of the standard brackets, allowing installation of the heater even closer to the wall.
