Edmonton – November 24, 2015 – CCI Thermal Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce that our Norseman™ XPA explosion-proof panel heaters have been certified in accordance with the latest IECEx and ATEX standards for equipment in explosive atmospheres. The new certification enables CCI Thermal to design and manufacture panel heaters for hazardous locations under the IECEx and ATEX Directives.
The IECEx and ATEX Directives facilitate international trade of equipment for use in explosive atmospheres. It helps governments, safety regulators, and industry to have greater assurance that equipment being operated or supplied for use in areas where flammable gases and vapours and combustible dusts are present, meets the world’s most respected and vigorous safety standards.
Norseman™ XPA panel heaters are specifically designed for freeze protection of control enclosures in locations where explosive atmospheres exist. Typical applications include control cabinets, instrument enclosures and small storage rooms or cabinets for volatile products.
